Does anyone know if the standardized scores required on the checklist refer to the ones we submitted in the PCQ or new scores from exams taken after opening the canidate kit? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

To my knowledge, you may submit any new standardized scores taken by December, but they must be sent from college board by the deadline, and must be the official scores, because the ones filled out in the PCQ were not official, and did not ask for verification. Not an expert, just telling you what I did :)

You do not have to take a new SAT - just official submission of whatever score you have from the College Board.

Be warned that (atleast for me) when I submitted the checklist it reverted to my old SAT and ACT scores that I submitted back in May on the pre-candidate kit and not the updated ones on the regular candidate kit. That's how it appears on the candidate kit for me, they might see something different.

In DS case, we're from California, he can only submit unofficial PSAT for PCQ because all of his SAT/ACT tests got cancelled. The first one he was able to take was June and the last one was October, totaling 2 SAT and 2 ACT. Because of that, he requested automatic submission of the scores from SAT/ACT as soon as they were out. USAFA indicated they received all four tests as of the status of his candidate kit.

Ok - I edited my comment and just cut&paste actual wording. I previously gave the wrong date of Jan 31:
"You should already have submitted at least one set of standardized test scores. We will continue to update any new test scores received by the testing agencies until 28 February 2022. If you choose, there is still time to register for the December test dates to improve your standing. We accept the ACT or SAT and we super score. The above items are essential in reviewing your file. Your file will not be reviewed by our Admissions Committee until these items are received."

I'm taking the SAT again in December because I want to improve my score and I want to know if they're asking for verification of the scores I submitted in my PCQ or the score I'm expecting to send in December.
You have to submit official scores by your application deadline - your self reported score on you PCQ is not sufficient. If your December score is higher, you can submit it after the deadline, but you must submit an official score before the deadline. It doesn't sound like you have, but if you took another exam after the PCQ that was higher than the reported score on your PCQ you could submit that official score instead of the PCQ score. You don't have to submit the official score you reported on your PCQ, but you have to submit AN official score by your deadline, and should obviously submit your highest score.

The score I submitted on my PCQ is the only official score I have so I'm just going to submit that and then update my scores after I take the December SAT and ACT. I just hope that they don't disqualify me because of that existing score, its really bad.

That's what you need to do. Hope you are preparing for that December SAT.

Can I ask where that Feb 28th date came from? I missed that in the booklet. There is a Feb 11th, 2022 ACT, the test dates are getting turned faster, can that test be used?

The Feb 2022 date came from a reply email from Admissions to DS' question about the checklist deadlines. You can email Team Blue or Team Silver whichever was assigned to you. They replied within the week.

Just my opinion which wouldn't mean much here (^_^), I think Feb 11 test results may be too risky of coming out too late if 28 Feb is the last date to update. You can ofcourse test and hope for the best.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the score you submitted through the PCQ, and what's your target score this December?

I submitted a tragic score of 1000. When I took it, it was the first time in a year that I had been in my school building since quarantine started and we were doing school from home. I didn't study at all and although it was better than my PSAT score, it was still pretty bad. I'm trying to get a 1200 this next time around. I'm also taking the ACT for the first time ever (I live on the East Coast) because I'm trying to exhaust all my resources for increasing my competitiveness.

*Sorry for the late reply.*

I saw this info about SAT/ACT scores sharing, good luck on this months. You can gage and see what you need to score at the minimum in each area:

Students who score below 620 Evidence-based reading and writing or below 580 math on the SAT reasoning test and below 24 English/reading and 25 math/science on the ACT normally will not be competitive for an appointment directly into the Academy. However, they will be considered for the prep school or a Falcon Foundation Scholarship.
