Does anyone know of places that weren't cancelled in this area? We live in NJ (outside of Philadelphia) and my DS has had all of his test dates cancelled so far. Looking for places in our area that didn't get cancelled and are still testing.

ACT being held in Philly Saturday... was scheduled for Cherry Hill but moved to Hilton Penn’sLanding

After three ACT cancelations, our DS successfully took the SAT test in August at the following location:

NESHAMINY HS 2001 OLD LINCOLN HIGHWAY LANGHORNE, PA 19047

We are in Boston, and running into the same problem. Have rescheduled multiple times, multiple states (NY, RI, MA), and registering for both ACT, and SAT, in the hopes of sitting for at least one. DD will certainly miss first boards...now I'm just hoping she'll be able to complete an application for ANY board. Very frustrating. Latest cancellation was yesterday for Saturday's SAT....all out of our hands...

Oh, and when she was in FLA helping to take care of her grandparents, we looked into Palm Beach Gardens as a site...she couldn't get in :(

I"m going to be honest here - folks stating this isn't a choice to get test completed is difficult to hear/ not sitting well.

Confirming sites where you can take the SATs is done here: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/find-test-centers
As many of you have noted, tests are being canceled at the last minute- repeatedly. OK, reschedule, move forward.

This being the world we live in you should be adapting and finding a new test center to take the test. You should be expecting multiple reschedules and headaches and track this daily so you get a slot WHEN your current plan cancels. - BUT - It is possible. People are testing. Some comments related to this topic and others are too resigned to failure, and seem to be justifying the why we failed excuses. Some energies need to be redirected instead on how we succeeded outcomes - the cheese keeps moving - go get it... I do not accept that it's not possible to schedule this test for 100% who are willing to work through the headache of multiple reschedules, maybe driving a few hours. I do accept there are a small percentage of students in remote fishing villages, on a ventilator in a hospital, whose significant other handcuffed them to a bed and they can't find the key or something, or severe limitations (no car, no money for gas etc. that are indeed in a very tough spot. To the rest of you - cmon folks. Or maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, and this test requirement will weed out those who aren't rising to the challenge.

Unsolicited guidance - folks, if it's important to you, make it happen. Or don't and watch someone else take you or your child's dream slot and be the guy drowning his sorrows with a beverage next fall when a tuition bill comes to you next year. If you fall short for another overall reason, so be it - most started applications as a matter of fact don't make it or arent approved. but to fall short but over this hurdle? I hope not.

Good luck.

We live in North Jersey and DS tested in Philadelphia this past Saturday. You will have to travel to test it is what it is, too much demand for testing after all of the cancellations. Good luck!

In Kansas, we had 3 tests cancellations for ACT; April, June, and July. We rescheduled our July test location to a very, very small town in north central Nebraska in order to find a location that WOULD NOT cancel. It is a 9 hour drive from where we live in the Kansas City metro area. My DS rescheduled in north central Nebraska for the September date in order to improve his score. The tests did end up being held locally on that test date, but he had determined ahead of time that the possibility existed for cancellation and a more certain outcome was needed. Find small, small towns and drive hours, that's my suggestion.

My daughter had to schedule two tests 2 and 3 hours away (with one in a different state) just to be sure after 3 cancellations in a row (1 we found about when we showed up). We ended rolling the dice on getting 1 of 2 and both went so we are hoping for good super scoring.

Try to schedule something outside of the northeast. DD has managed to take it in August and is scheduled again for tomorrow. She also took it end of 10th and beginning of 11th grade but wanted to improve her score. She had to reschedule a couple of times and she has had to drive out of town, but kids are getting it done. It stinks, it’s expensive, it’s not fair, but it is the hurdle in front of them and it needs to be cleared. Don’t let an $80 hotel room and a tank of gas be what gets between your kid and their dream.

DS finally managed to take it in late August (after several cancellations this summer) in the Harrisburg, PA area. He had planned to take it again at the end of September but was comfortable enough with his August test score to forego any further testing. It turns out his September test date got cancelled as well so it feels like he somehow just managed to "sneak under the wire". What a year....
