SAT?

My DD and I met with both AFROTC and AROTC last week at two different universities. We were told that, even if the SAT/ACT is not "required", the applicant is still given points if a test is taken. So, let's say it is worth 10% of the score, the cadet without a test is only able to to achieve a 90 out of 100. My takeaway was try your best to submit a standardized test score to be more competitive.

Absolutely agree - do everything you can to get either the SAT or ACT. In addition to ROTC scholarship application, many colleges are still using the SAT or ACT scores to help the decide on merit scholarship awards.
