For those of you fortunate enough to have been selected for NROTC on one of the October, November, or December boards, please check the links at the end for specific deadlines for your NSI paperwork. File size precluded me from attaching here but this is the new NSI info package and checklist hot off the presses.

Your units will also be able to help you navigate the paperwork process. I am happy to field some general questions, but I will probably sound like a broken record when I tell you to contact your unit.

Some specific key dates were spelled out for PNS members ahead of our annual meeting with the NSTC Admiral next week.

Key Dates:

a. 21 OCT 22: The first NROTC Scholarship Board Adjourned
b. 17 NOV 22: Midshipmen Candidates began receiving guidance and forms for NSI from the CMGO.

c. 31 MAR 23: NSI Packages due for Navy or Marine NROTC National Scholarship awardees who accepted their scholarship in October, November or December 2022 and College Program Students applying for a sideload scholarship in FY23 (they will be assigned to NSI 1)
d. 01 MAY 23: Placement Change Requests are paused

e. 01 MAY 23: NSI Packages due for Navy or Marine NROTC National Scholarship awardees who accepted their scholarship in January, February or March 2023
f. 08 – 26 JUN 23: NSI 1

g. 29 JUN – 17 JUL 23: NSI 2

h. 30 JUN 23: NSI Packages due for Navy or Marine NROTC National Scholarship awardees who accepted their scholarship in April or May 2023, NROTC Preparatory Program (NPP) Students and all other College Program Students

i. 20 JUL – 7 AUG 23: NSI 3

10. Send any questions to the CMGO at GRLK_NROTC_CGO@navy.mil.

Captain Meyers, if you haven’t heard from all possible college admissions by the 3/31 deadline, should you still submit the NSI package? Can you change schools after the package has been submitted?

You can change schools after submitting your package. Especially if you didn't get accepted by your first choice or whichever college you were placed. Happens every year.

I know that Capt. Meyers had mentioned the Sickle Cell Test in a previous post, but one note on the NSI package submittal for DS - his Sickle Cell Test from when he was born did not explicitly state that he was positive or negative. This was rejected and he needs to re-take the test and resubmit. FYI
