Because most schools require you to put down the academic deposit before May 1st it's really important that I know where I am going to go. About a week ago I accepted the 3 year AROTC scholarship and then sent in a request to transfer the scholarship to a 3 year school. Usually how long will it take to find out if my request was accepted or not?

I don't know if there's any correlation, but when I transferred my NROTC scholarship, it took about 3 days for the transfer to get processed and approved.

DS emailed and faxed his request this week and it literally took less than 1 hour to have confirmation email received.
Good luck to you!

I am confused a little by your statement, you said you transferred to a 3 year school? I am not sure the scholarship would activate as a freshman, I just have never heard of that. It is called a 3 year advanced designee scholarship, because it activates in your MS2 year. I might be misreading your post.
