Hi, I'm a candidate for the USNA and USAFA classes of 2015, and I'm also applying for AFROTC and NROTC scholarships to Texas A&M and the Citadel. My question is, how much of the application process from the academies transfers over to a ROTC app? Do I need to fill out an ROTC application, or by applying to an SA do I automatically apply for ROTC? I have no idea how it works, and while I'm basically done with the SA apps, I really need to get going with the ROTC apps. Thanks for the help, hopefully my question made at least some sense.

Lhester97, the ROTC application is a whole separate process. You need to complete them separately. I will tell you that they are much easier than the SA apps. Good luck!

Lee is correct with regards to SA vs. ROTC application paperwork.

If you have a DoDMERB physical exam for a SA application, that exam will serve to qualify you for both SA's and any ROTC scholarship you may be awarded. Mind you each SA and each service's ROTC have different medical qualification criteria, but they only need to examine you once to make this determination.
