Scholarships???

I was just wondering how I will able to apply scholarships I have been awarded towards books, uniforms, and all the other items deducted from my stipend.

If USCGA is similar to USAFA and USNA (which my son applied to) then the only scholarships you can use are ones that are not earmarked for anything specific. So if the scholarship is for "tuition" or "room and board" then you can't use it. But if it's non-specific and the scholarship check is made out to the academy, you should be able to use it towards misc. expenses.

USNA had guidance in the PTR packet that non-restricted scholarships should be sent AFTER the start of the academic year. USCGA may have similar guidance.
