After reading all the threads for ROTC I have realized I made an enormous error, forgive me for being ignorant, but I made the mistake of only picking one school of intent. I have been accepted into this school and the PMS conducted my interview. It seems like everyone selected 3-7 schools of intent and I am here with just one. So my question that I need advice for is if I should add more schools when the schools of intent can be changed? This being said I am also I don’t earn a scholarship on the second board.

I assume you've applied for admission to more than just that one school, correct?

I would think it would be in your best interest to add those other schools, once the SOI page is unlocked, at the end of the week.

If you DO get a 2nd Board scholarship, I believe there's a way to request a transfer to another school, if you feel you'd rather attend a different college on your SOI "dream sheet."

Ok thank you. I am pretty set on going to the one school I listed on the application. So I only applied to it because it is best for my career field and I can volunteer or work at a nearby hospital that is renowned.

I do plan to apply to a private university but I also live in a state with only a few AROTC programs at select school. Thank you though!!

It might be okay, but if that university's scholarship slots are filled up, you don't have any other schools they can offer you a scholarship to. It also has to have been a public university, because on the school of intent page it states, "3 or fewer choices, 1 must be a public college or university."

Oh I have never considered that, the PMS did say participation between years has been spotty. I did choose a public university, thank you for the information!

That is a good suggestion, I will do that. One private and one public seems fair. Thank you!
If you are set on that one school I wouldn't bother. However if you somehow have a change in heart it is always good to have your options open. Especially when this scholarship can usually be used at 2-3 schools it definitely doesn't hurt to include at least 2 schools you have interest in.

Ok I will change it when I get the chance, thank you!
