How long does it take for the individual academies to make its final decision for an appointment after receiving the list of nominations from congressmen/women?

There is no good answer for this. Broadly, candidates, once they have a nom and are considered qualified in every other aspect, might receive an appointment in a window that goes up into May, and some cases, beyond. LOAs and principal noms, depending on SA (N/A to USCGA), also play a role. Some with a nom and fully qualified will not receive an appointment.

The Class of 2020 Appointment thread http://www.serviceacademyforums.com...of-2020-usna-appointment-thread.46706/page-45 had 128 reports. Of those 119 had dates. I used LOA date as the appointment date, and base on that data, here is the distribution of when LOA/Appointments were made.

Late January to early February is when the bulk of the appointments will come out.
