Ship selection this week???

DS texted 30 minutes before saying he was not going to attend due to too much work. 15 minutes later he texts that he changed his mind and was heading to the Hall. He said was very hot and crowded but had a blast.

The walkup music was awesome but I did not pick up @brewmeist's observation. The t-shirt gun was hysterical. The ceremonial and ship swag was fun to watch. I still have much lingo to learn and will quiz the DS when we see him in two weeks.

About the comment on a carrier as a bad place for baby SWO. I think it will eat them alive.

I can only assume that it’s the same in Army Groups (or the Pentagon).
Too many high ranking officers running around like privates (or plebes).
I remember visiting a destroyer in Norfolk. I talked to an Ensign who’s responsible for launching codes. He was so happy.

We didn’t even have the option to select a CVN. I was surprised to see it. Watched a few minutes of it. Glad to see happy Mids. Regardless of where they land, they will embrace it. Their future just got a lot more real! There will be some New grads deployed on a ship leading Sailors before the new class even swears in.

Wouldn’t they be blocked every year? They always do music.

I know avaiation already knows. But what about ships? Marines?
