Should I retake the ASTB

Hello, I recently took the ASTB For the first time and I am looking to gather some advice and opinions in order to make an educated decision. I scored a 5,6,6 which qualifies me for pilot/NFO but i understand it isn’t exactly competitive. The rest of my stats are:
Second semester sophomore
Major: Tier 2 Civil Engineering
Cumulative GPA: 3.04
Last semester’s GPA: 3.42
PRT: 98
I am also a female. I am worried about retaking and doing worse but I want to know what other people’s opinions are before I decide on what to do.
 
I think it is irrelevant for entry into ROTC. You would be better focusing on increasing GPA, SAT/ACT, getting some leadership experience.

As I read this, I am assuming @xcroghanxc is already enrolled as a sophomore in college. You can take the test 3 times and your highest score counts. I would discuss with your cadre to determine the best path forward. Congrats on passing the test and being qualified.

On reading again you are probably correct.
 
you are correct that only the most recent score counts - there is a risk you could do worse. however, you have quite a lot of time to prepare and improve. you can take it 3 times, as you know.
if you haven't already come across it, i highly recommend checking out airwarriors.com, tons and tons of great info from people ahead you in in the aviation pipeline from current SNA's and SNFOs, all the way up to senior officers still on active duty or retired and a lot of people in between.

in particular, there is a wealth of info on the ATSB, how to study, and gouge on the various techniques.
