I tell all of my students that the CFA is a 'beginning' not an end. You should commit to be as fit as you can be as a military officer candidate. Your workout routines should be 'routine' and continue throughout the school year and summer as you prepare to arrive at the Academy, or on the college campus, ready to meet the fitness requirements for either program, USNA or ROTC. If you improve in the coming months, then you can submit another CFA result.

Retake it (almost) no matter what; you should be training consistently until I-Day anyway, so your CFA should improve accordingly and the extra points can't hurt.

NO. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The CFA is pass/fail. You’re obviously in good shape. No need to retake. If you had mentioned these hypothetical SAT 640M/650V and ACT 22M/26E scores in your post, I would say retake them. Higher board college scores carry more weight. Five more feet of distance on the BB throw, one more pullup or shaving ten more seconds off the run won’t make a big difference. Also take a long term look at the rest of the application and start preparing for nomination essays and potential MOC interviews.

Good luck.
