Since about the age of 10 I have had issues with dry hands. In the winter when the humidity goes down they get pretty dry and can sometimes start to crack or even bleed. It is pretty easily managed with some lotion but I was reading more into military health requirements and it sounds like it could prevent me from joining. Even if easily managed could my dry hands disqualify me?

Dry hands are the standard in Colorado. Everyone will have them.

When you wash your hands with soap and water, don't usually wash the back of your hands. That's where the skin is thinner and tends to dry and crack; but the backs of your hands also rarely get dirty. Soaps remove the natural oils from your skin, so don't use them more than necessary. Though clearly practice good hygiene. 😉

My husband is a grad. His mom told me he's had very dry skin since he was a baby. To this day I tell him that he must keep the Aveeno product line in business all by himself with the amount of moisturizer he uses on a daily basis after showering.

As always, do what you need to do to stay healthy & that includes keeping your skin healthy. Whether you have dry skin, acne, etc., be meticulous about it.

After washing your hands, moisturize to lock the moisture in.
