Hi! Who else got accepted to SLE? Anyone know what to expect? I'd love to start talking to people going!
I got accepted, will be going. Not really certain what we do exactly, but from
what I understand, we do a class, PT in the morning, intramural sports, and apparently we get to go to the gun range but I actually have no idea.

awesome! Thanks see you there hopefully!

I accepted the offer to attend on Saturday and am planning on going the week of June 3-9. I was planning on doing NJ Boys State as well, but I'm not even going to bother applying anymore because that week is the same week as finals. I can't miss two whole weeks of June and hope to do well.

Anyway, from the typical SLE schedule that I'm sure you've all seen already, we do PT in the morning, eat breakfast, go to class for about 6 hours with lunch in between, then do "evening activities" which could be pretty much anything they want us to do. I am, to say the least, very excited.

P.S. Hit me up if your session preference was Session 1 and chose Chemistry and Life Science Workshop as your number one choice.

I went to SLE week 1 last year and this is a quick summary of what went down:
Early morning rise, PT (nothing crazy physically - one day we took the CFA as our PT, the next we had a circuit of push ups, squats, sit ups, etc, another day we went on a run, and another day we had relay competitions). After that you get about 15 minutes to shower and change before formation for breakfast, and after breakfast you have a day full of classes. You will also have briefings/presentations every day before lunch from guest speakers. Be sure to pack a notebook to take notes during these. Otherwise, the rest of the day is spent either a) playing a team sport, b) touring USMA, or c) going on a spirit mission. You'll barely have free time and when you do your squad leader will decide how you can spend it. The last day is spent at Camp Buckner going through an obstacle course and doing hooah things. I had tons of fun, so hope y'all do too :)
