Dd applied to Sle and there was no confirmation email saying that the application has been submitted. Does this mean that her application has not been submitted in any way?

For now, she can’t check her application status in any way. She is freaking out.

Is she able to log in to her Candidate Portal? If yes, and she completed her Candidate Questionnaire and indicated interest in the SLE, she should be all set, and wait for USMA's response.

She should also check her Junk mail regularly, several USMA communications went to junk for me.

Thank you for your reply. She can log into the portal but only thing she can see is her basic personal info. Is it supposed to be like that? This is so confusing. :|

It was like that for me too! I was accepted to SLE a few weeks ago. If your DD is accepted she will receive an email and a text from USMA. Like @wishywashy said, make sure she checks her junk mail because all SLE communications go to my junk folder. Best of luck to her- I hope to see her at SLE :)

If she submitted her CQ and has a portal login, she is good. They announced that all applications turned in before the deadline would be considered for SLE at the last SLE admissions brief. She won't hear anything else unless she is selected for SLE. However, as the poster above said, check junk and SPAM mailboxes. All of my ds's emails for SLE go directly to SPAM.

I tell my students all the time that the 'big' advantage of applying to the summer seminars is that you are 'starting' the application process and that you are 'first' in line -- a selection for the seminar is 'gravy.' If your daughter is not selected, she can find some other great ways to see the Academy. One good route is by attending one of the USMA summer sports camps. Many of my students have participated in them across all of the SAs. Students stay in the dorms, eat in the mess hall, meet cadets and staff, and they also work with the coaching staff. Best of luck to your daughter on her journey!
