SLE Application Email Not Recieved

I completed the pre-candidate questionaire on the application website but have not recieved the email for applying to SLE. I made sure to click on "I am interested" at the end of the questionaire and all of that and it said it would email me 24-48 hours after submission. I submitted this a couple weeks ago and I still haven't gotten word back, what should I do?

After DS received that message, the portal displayed a new message that said he would not get an email until he was selected to attend SLE.

If you want to check, you can email your RC making sure that your profile shows that you are interested in SLE.

There is an option to contact admissions on the Candidate portal! They responded to my message there very quickly.

My DS was not selected for SLE last year, but did receive and accept an appointment to USMA for the class of 2027 from a very competitive district. So if you aren’t selected for SLE not to worry!

Wait so is this not like USNA or USAFA summer seminars where you can just apply straight off the bat?

It is the same. They start the PCQ and then there was a button once you completed it asking if you were interested in SLE (the PCQ is the SLE application). Once they are selected to attend SLE, they are given a portal login where they are asked seminar and week preferences.

However, the button at the end of the PCQ didn't show up for all of the applicants so USMA put out a message to contact admissions to make sure their profiles showed that they did indeed want to apply to SLE (instead of just filling out the PCQ for USMA admission). My DS didn't need to do that step because the button showed up for him.

The big difference was that USMA didn't require an essay for the summer program! My DS enjoyed that.

Update: I just heard on the SLE Info brief (LIve on the West Point Admissions Facebook page) that you don't have to have hit the button or email admissions to indicate you are interested in SLE. Everyone who completes the CQ before the SLE deadline will be considered for SLE.
