I was accepted into SLE a couple days ago into session 2, but I have already paid for session 2 and turned in all the forms for NASS (accepted in February). I really want to attend SLE, so would it be possible to ask to switch sessions or is that not possible. Thank you for your input!! Have a great day!

Best bet is to send an email to the admissions team and ask for a switch. Last year I had to move from session 1 to session 2 because I forgot that I had a graduation to attend over the session I picked! Luckily I caught this issue early on and emailed them immediately, and everything worked out. I think you really need to get in contact with them as soon as possible so that you have the highest chance of receiving a more favorable outcome.

I wish you could switch with my DD! She’s accepted to session 1 and has Girls State that week. She’ll be emailing them today...

if you go to them with a viable plan they may be more willing to work with you

We’re you able to switch? My DD sent her request yesterday.

Our DS was accepted into Session 1 SLE and Session 1 NASS. Luckily he was able to switch to Session 3 of NASS. He will have a busy June with SLE followed by Boys State followed by NASS.

It was tricky when DS applied to both he knew he was only available for NASS Session 1 or 3 and SLE Session 1 because of boy’s state. He really wanted to attend both if possible to compare them as he moves forward with applications this summer. He was accepted to NASS first and had to accept/decline before he was accepted to SLE. DS contacted USNA by email from the contact info he received in the info packet after he received the SLE invitation. It took about 10-14 days to hear back but he was fortunate they could move him to the last week for NASS.
