ok. so after months and months of struggling with DODMERB, workin on the CFA, and stressing about nominations, I received my appointment from West Point

So I ask the seasoned veterans at this process, what happens now?

On another note, hope everyone's having a great christmas!

cheers to you mate, major congratulations on pulling through with everything

i can't say i know this for sure, but i would imagine its now up to you to respond to them yes/no by may 1. from the way you put it, i wouldn't be surprised if you said yes right away

by the way just wondering, around what day did you receive your appointment package?

i received my appointment on Dec 23. however, what came was a leather bound diploma like package that said i had a received an appointment. there was also a letter and a little postage paid card that i'm not quite sure what to do with.

thanks again and good luck to you!

Congratulations!!!

Either mail the card with the information filled and/or go to your online account and accept it electronically. I also suggest you schedule your overnight visit in the spring. Aside from that, stay out of trouble and keep up the good work.

This is of course assuming you're 100% sure you want to go and USMA is your first choice.

I've already scheduled an overnight visit for January (want to get a taste of the cold seeing as how i live down in SC)

how soon did should all this show up on the candidate portal? it's only been two days for me but i still haven't seen anything

Congratulations etaylor.

Hopefully I receive my nomination and waiver so I can get that beaaauttttifullll letter. :thumb:

It took about a week for it to pop up for me. Could take longer with the holiday season and all. I suggest doing it this way (online) because it is really quick to finish and you don't have to worry with the hassle of the snail mail. Make sure you have a measuring tape (or know his size) so you can complete the online uniform size form. :thumb:

Keep us updated!

How do you accept the appointment electronically? My online account still only shows the documents I've sent, etc. and that they've received all my information. I received an official acceptance package in the mail as well, and have already mailed the post card, but I'd be more comfortable doing it electronically since I'll know that they receive it.

it took about 12 days from when i received the appointment package to when a link appeared on the portal. It's right under the CFA stuff.

I feel ya. It's been 5 days since the appointment, and I've been checking the portal and stalking the mail man everyday.

I'm sure this is there peak time and their up to their necks in paperwork-- everyone, including myself, needs to relax, the stuff will show up, just remember you already did your job, your in.

Alright, I received the links for all the new paperwork, but since I sent the postcard in, it just said appointment accepted on Jan. 29. I guess that once you start filling out the paperwork, more paperwork links start showinn up.
