Should I assume DS did not make it through the first round of we did not receive an email or phone call already?

Not necessarily. There is a possibility he may not be in the first round of reviews.

But, we did get the email saying that his application was under review.......ugh. All calls were made already?

No, DD's notification was informal and was early. Don't stress and hang in there! This is just the very beginning :)

What if you had a missed call from a New London, CT phone number but they did not leave a message...should I call back?

It might be a call about a potential interview. My son was called about an interview today. The caller did leave a message though.

there were only about 90 apps that qualified for EA 1st round of committee reviews (based on received by date and meeting the baseline criteria) ... about 20 of those were appointed - DS app was received on 9/3 - was told he is in the second round based on his app received date

Thanks! We submitted on 10/14...because teacher recs were late. Ugh.

DS last teacher rec was submitted on 10/12 ... what a PITA as i was nudging him almost daily to ask the teachers and even wrote one or 2 emails to them myself ... i was actually hoping he would have been cleared in the first round ... but even with an LoA - its get inline by when you were received

Just curious, how did you find out about 20 appointments already?

a handful have been posted on here as getting calls and i was asking how LoA's were handled ... i figured they would be cleared out first since you would think they get checked to make sure they are complete and don't get compared to others in the pool and some stats were kind of tossed out in discussion -

My do application says he officially submitted 10/4......I guess there is no hope he is in round 2...the waiting is torturous. A wait for any college is long and stressful, but this is different....this is a life long decision, not just a 4 year decision!!!

Wait til they're at sea...then we will be really stressed!! Trying to stay positive!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, DS friend had LOA very early-DS doesn't think she's heard yet.
DS is in the pool somewhere likely in later rounds-Recommendations held it up a bit.
Best to everyone!
