Initially denied enrollment but through an appeal my son was accepted for Fall of 2014. Going to visit campus last week of March.
Congrats! DS is a freshman at UNG. He's definitely immersed in the Corps, but one of the great things about UNG is that you can get involved in many different aspects of college life. After one semester, I'm pretty well convinced that no two cadets could possibly have the same college experience there.
Be sure to check out the parents group once the dates get closer to FROG week.

Also, if you can change that visit to the weekend of April 4-6, that's National Leadership Challenge and probably the best time to visit. Get there early on Friday, though, and have your son make special appointments with various departments before the cadet-immersion experience starts. He will be in a great position by then to ask lots of great questions of the cadets while he's at NLC.
Feel free to ask any questions. (CoachBart is a great resource!)
Thanks! My DS has a ship date to OSUT 11B, July to Nov 2014 unless he gets a 4 year ROTC scholarship. If he does not get the scholarship he will start in Jan 2015. I understand that they have a GA ARNG unit on campus and he can do some of his drills there and be SMP at some point. He would have to do a Interstate transfer from WI to GA ARNG. Any insight on this?

Thanks CoachBart. By being part of the GA ARNG is there any state tuition assistance, etc or will he just have his Federal GI bill?
