Am wondering about status changes too. My DS had his status changed to “boarded” last night. It sounds like things are still fluctuating until the end of the week when the board stops meeting.Good afternoon, everyone. My child's status two hours ago was "boarded," and now it is moved back to "board ready". What might this mean?
AROTCIs this NROTC or a different branch?
Just curious- what is your child’s status now? Did it go back to boarded?Good afternoon, everyone. My child's status two hours ago was "boarded," and now it is moved back to "board ready". What might this mean?
I think you’re taking about Army’s AROTC application portal status tab. It is very common for your status to change between Board ready, boarded, boarded under consideration, and back again while the board prepares to and then meets to review SOME of the submitted applications in each of their three rounds of reviews in which scholarships are awarded. Each year people try to read the tea leaves to assign meaning/ likelihood of being awarded the scholarship based on these changes. Don’t bother. Four years ago, my DS was awarded a four year during the second board. During the first board his status changed often as I believe he was considered but fell short to be awarded the scholarship in that round. The PAS he met with called it, noting he’d likely get a four year in the second board.Good afternoon, everyone. In prior years, the strong indicator a decision was near for Army ROTC was when the candidate list of schools tab locked, many reported they received a decision within days, once that happened.
Good luck and thanks for your child’s willingness to serve.
