Depending on what access is granted, a cadet or mid can use DFAS My Pay site to change Direct Deposit from one banking institution to another. If they do not have that access to My Pay, the cadet or midshipman financial office will have the form and ability to execute a Direct Deposit change. All that is needed is new bank routing number and account number.
If the cadet does not have an account yet with the desired bank, that can be done over the phone or online. Initial deposit can be done by electronic funds transition get from old bank.
