Still CPR

My DD is still CPR and we are praying (lots)! She received an email from her BGO today stating that her application review is 100% complete and that she will hear anytime from today until April 15. Don't give up the ship. Best of luck to everyone!

Still CPR...at this point time..most likely we will get an appointment! Ooorah Marines Oooyah Navy..Beat Hoorah Army!!

Anyone else here also still CPR? In my district I have heard of both appointments and rejections, most of which have happened a month ago, yet I'm still CPR. Is there anything to read from that? and is anyone else in the same boat as me?

CPR since the fall. I never post but I had to share how excited and also how worried I am. Still deciding which one to be as April 15th draws near.

From my intel, any cpr right now most likely one would get an appointment...just hang in there!

This forum gets a lot of "I heard it from a friend" rumors every year. With the exponential rise in rumors going around right now, this is not the time to spread more.

Complete Pending Review (CPR) status is just what it says. The application is complete and is pending a review. You will either be turned down, or get an offer. That is all.

Keep in mind, there are multiple levels of review as well... it is very likely that the CPR since [last summer] has been "reviewed" by the Admissions Board, and the Q /No Q is already determined . Right now, its in the hands of Noms and Appointments to build the class by matching the 3Q candidate and determine who "wins" the applicable MOC slate or gets in through one of the other nomination sources, or in some cases, waiting for Med waivers to come through. There really isn't any rhyme or reason to timing ....I see some Appointments come quickly, and I see others late in the game. Just be patient....there is really little benefit to trying to figure out what this all means-- you will (or should) hear one way or another by April 15.

Can you explain the Q/3Q/No Q status? I thought that it just meant you passed the CFA, medical and have a nomination?
DS is still CPR (early Sept) in IL with Senate and Congressional Nom.

Thanks!

USNA typically does not tell applicants if they are 3Q. That is medical, no DQs from DODMERB or waivers pending resolution, physical (CFA), and scholastic (academic grades, test scores, coursework, school quality, all the leadership and extra-curricular stuff, pretty much everything else).

Being fully qualified with a nom puts the candidate in play for an offer of appointment.

CPR is exactly what it says. The application is complete, and the candidate has submitted all required info. The file is awaiting review and decision.

I looked at the DIY appoinment threads for 3 of the service academies, as of 3/26, for the past few years. I know these are self-reported so may not mean anything, but let's catch up Navy!!

Can you explain the Q/3Q/No Q status? I

There are 3 "Q"s and a nomination required for an Offer of Appointment. (Q = "qualfied"; the actual designation for not qualfied is "rejected" or R). The three Q's are the Medical, CFA and Admissions Board (which is looking at the Whole Person Score, incluing academics, athletics, leadership, etc). My comment above is that Admission Board has already made their Q or R determination. That doesn't mean that everyone who is Admission Board "rejected" has received a turn down letter, as they can still be in consideration for a NAPS or Foundation offer.
