It doesn't make a difference for my DS anymore, as he received a TWE, but I was curious what happens to a MOC's slot if it goes unused by someone in the district. One of the appointees in our district still hasn't decided between the 3 SA's. If they decide against USMA, does that slot just not get used this year, or does it go to someone on the NWL?

An MOC can only have 5 individuals charged at one time. If they do not get someone charged this year or someone leave the academy, they will have two openings next year.
Technically, the "slot" is not used but is filled by someone else as an additional appointee.
