I know there some of you that are still awaiting appointment decisions as you on the direct appointment or scholars waitlists.
We are in exceptional circumstances with this COVID lockdown and have more time to think and worry than normal.
I hope the best for you all during this time and hope you receive final decisions shortly although I guess for many this will be early to mid May.
I hope you take comfort in the fact that you have raised exceptional children with a desire to serve. Most would probably earn far more money if they applied their talents in the private sector but it is unlikely that they would have the impact on people’s lives that they will have in the Coast Guard.
I am sure they all have solid plan ‘B’s, ‘C’s and ‘D’s.
