In September of 2022 I sustained a stress reaction in my left hip from running XC. I rested until December per my doctor's orders and was able to take my CFA and get great scores. The only thing outstanding for me now is DODMERB, and I am taking my medical exam on Tuesday the 17th. Despite being cleared by my doctor to resume physical activity and being able to run 6-7 miles with no issues, I believe I will be disqualified as looking through the DOD standards I discovered that stress reactions on weightbearing bones in the past 6 months is disqualifiying. Since 6 months will have passed by IDay and I have been cleared by my doctor, will my chances of getting a waiver be better?

Get a “ok to fully participate” form filled out by your hip doc and hand in (with your DodMerb application), and show the doc who’s administrating you your physical.
