One thing to consider being an hour away is opening your home to your plebe's friends during breaks. My DS went with 3 other friends from across the nation to a friend's parents house that lives about an hour away over Thanksgiving break. Those plane tickets home can get expensive. There are two school breaks in November, one after 1st tri and another over Thanksgiving.This is so helpful! Thank you! Definitely would not plan to show up unless invited by USMMA - just wanted to know when parents are invited. Sounds like drop off for indoc then nothing till Friday of parents weekend - does that seem correct? Although we are an hour away, I will be able to resist the urge, I promise!!

I love this - thank you!The good thing about having other plebes over Thanksgiving break is that you will find out a lot more about what your plebe has been doing as they talk among themselves. I have developed friendships with some of the families who took my plebes in. Just another example of what a tight knit group you will experience at KP.
