Ahh...makes sense. Do you get to choose your unit, and if so would choice be based off order of merit? So if CTLT is a requirement, then is there any way off getting out of doing CBT/SLS/CFT (taking summer classes, etc.)?
 
yes you get to send in a preference for a unit and it is done on order of merit but there are no guarantees... While a leadership detail is a requirement SLS,CBT,CFT are not the only options there are things like CCBT (USMAPS basic) and a couple others that you can do. If you want to take summer classes that is up to you but it will cut in to your leave time and will not replace any other graduation requirement.
