I will be attending Session C this year and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for SS.
What to expect physically, how to make a good impression, etc.
I'm sure this would benefit many.

The physical demands are not incredibly hard but do be prepared. Do some running before you go and just make sure you have a good amount of endurance because your days will be busy. If you aren't used to the alttitude endurance will also be of great aid.

Be polite and do as told remember that the cadets are there to help you. Ask lots of questions, I know from my experience every cadet I met was more than happy to help.

Try to learn as much as you can for doolie for a day. Not only does it make it more realistic but it becomes more fun and easier on your nerves. Be prepared and know the knowledge! This is where some basic physical conditioning will also help as you will be run around quite a lot.

I went in the summer of 2007 and had a blast! Just have fun, go to learn, follow directions, make friends and all will be good. It you are in fair shape and a varsity athlete of any sport you will be ok. And if you are serious about the USAFA and a very good student you will probably get in. I just finished my 1st year here at the academy and it has been very hard but very rewarding also.

Thank you both. Could anyone also enlighten us on what is issued to us?

I think this was already gone over on another thread but from what I remember you get PT shorts, PT shirts, a waterbottle, a hat, notepad, polo, backpack, and towel. I can't remember what else it might be on that other thread.

We also got a jacket, pens, and pencils.

Also is there any swimming? I can swim very poorly, so I plan to practice this summer after the Seminar.

No swimming and they do not do an actual "obstacle" course as I think that is out at Jack's Valley.

You do an element challenge though which is a lot of fun. It is structured similar to an obstacle course.

I'm going to session C as well. Does anyone know how far we will run at one time? Just so I know what to prepare for
