Summer Seminar notification date

Looking around the forum, it looks like no one's been notified if they've been accepted or not. I've read several contradicting dates for notification. Some said late February, or early March. If I check the SS FAQ page on the USAFA admissions website, they say that we'll know by the first week of April. Summer's coming up pretty fast, and it would be nice to know. Does anyone have a more concrete answer?
 
Yeah, waiting to hear back too! I heard late February. Who knows at this point. Best of luck!
 
They just launched a new portal system yesterday or day before. Summer Seminar is still working off old portal but may be part of delay. So far haven't seen anyone post with word back yet.
 
Hi there...for all summer programs (USAFA, USNA, USMA, etc) if for some reason you do not get in, will you receive a rejection letter?

I would assume so. I got a scholarship last June for the Air Force's Aim High Flight Academy. I got accepted, but did hear of rejection letters being sent out.

Yep, can attest to that! I got in to AHFA, but my buddy didn’t, he received an email saying he didn’t get in.

I can tell you that my first DS got an update in his portal saying he was not selected. The only time I think they send physical letters anymore is for the actual academy application you either get the BFE (Big Fat Envelope) which is good news or the TWE (Thin White Envelope) which is not so good news. AHFA is a totally separate system and group (Recruiting) and has nothing to do with USAFA or any other academy.
 
Please keep in mind that getting into SS does not impact your chances of getting an appt. Same the other way around -- not getting in also does not impact your chances of getting an appt.

Absolutely! Thank you for the encouragement! At this point, I would just like to make summer plans. And waiting on SS makes me so compassionate for you guys who are waiting on actual appointments!

Yes, just want to make summer plans too. Nothing for us. I'm not ready for the waiting next year.
