Hey mdsu, just some advice from someone who went through the same boat you did a year ago. the additional comments section is only for any extenuating circumstances, or original situations. Example: "Activities Participated in Other: Please explain in remarks; there are a lot of extracirricular things we all do that aren't in the list, but you might want to include in your app, you would explain it here. NO ESSAY REQUIRED.

And for considering to apply...

Heck Yea! Go for it. You can always retake the SAT and just go for the ACT too to see if you do any better. You can always send it newer and better scores, and your profile [in the near future] will always list the best + all USNA has received. The SAT is important, but not a make or break, but I will say that they should be in the 600+ or 26-27+ range for ACT.

Good Luck mdsu,
just remember: If you don't apply, you won't get in, but if you give it a shot, and apply, you've got nothing to lose.

hey, thanks for the advise. I just finished applying to the summer seminar. I was thinking about not applying because my SAT scores and i didnt want them to see it but ive wanted usna for years and my dad told me to apply anyway to show them my commitment.

Hey...like u i also applied to the naval academy summer seminar and my background isn't so great so....

all i can say is give it your (or our best)...and i'm keeping my fingers crossed for NASS '09 and maybe someday USNA :)
