After going to the funeral of a dear relative at the Quantico National Cemetery yesterday (which is a really beautiful Nat Cemetery - the VA does a great job there) , I had the opportunity to visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps. What a great museum - if you are in the Northern VA area- make the time to drive to Quantico and visit. You won't be disappointed:thumb:

It's nice that you can a decent lunch at either Mess Hall or Tun Tavern. You can spend a lot of time there.:thumb:

Another great spot in Virginia for my fellow Marines to go pay some respects is Christchurch Parrish Cemetery in Christ Church Va. There you will find the tomb of the greatest Marine ever. Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller. Buried right next to his lovely wife. I went a few years ago on a return trip from PI after watching my nephew graduate from Bootcamp. That young man has already been to the sandbox, volunteered to go back, and has attained the rank of Sargeant. Semper Fi.

"Retreat Hell We Just Got Here" "Come on you son's of *****es do you want to live for ever" Sgt Daly Two MOH and he had already earned two at Boxer Rebellion and Haiti Semper Fi! DSC, NC, Silv Star and how many PH?
