Im currently a 200 in AFROTC and I have a question for all those enrolled in AFROTC or have experience with the topic. I joined AFROTC to try and achieve my goal of becoming a military pilot but as we all know sometimes the Air Force will put you wherever they want to put you. So if I landed a job like intel, is it a possibility to transfer into a rated field while fulfilling your service commitment? Or would it be a possibility to fulfill my service commitment and then apply to the ANG or Army guard after my 4 years? Is there a certain AFSC that the supp upt board prefers over others? Thank you all for your help, and don't get me wrong I know being an officer comes first, Im just trying to formulate different plans to accomplish my goals.
