Is radial collateral ligament surgery on my thumb to repair a ligament something that can DQ me?
I read on the USNA's website a pdf on Medical Considerations for Admission. Would this surgery be considered something to DQ an applicant for? It's a ligament repair (which isn't specifically listed as something that can DQ) and it wasn't invasive. I'd greatly appreciate any input!
From USNA:
Musculoskeletal System:
Un-united fractures, history of surgery to a major joint within six months, history of derangement of any major joint not corrected by surgery or evidence of instability subsequent to surgery, history of anterior or posterior cruciate ligament injury, retained orthopedic devices, arthritis, severe scoliosis, symptomatic structural abnormalities of the spinal column, and herniated nucleus pulposus or history of spinal surgery for this or any other condition are disqualifying.
