Surplus in Class Ranking

This question is very ironic as many posters ask if the lack of a class rank will become a disadvantage for the SA’s. But I’m quite opposite to everyone. My school actually provides two different official class rankings on my transcript. The first one reflects the end of 6th semester. And the second rank reflects the start of the school year; this rank is the most recent and up to date. I jumped up a solid 30 students in ranking from the end of 6th semester due to completed college courses being transferred in. Does anyone have an idea which class ranking will impact my WCS? According to the website, USNA states that ranking is important but doesn’t gives any specifics. I’m assuming they’d use my most recent one. But since many schools don’t provide two rankings, would I need a school official to validate that this number is accurate. I know no one hear works for admissions, just wanted to hear people’s input.

I believe that they will use your class rank which is part of your transcript.
Since they typically look at your transcript that is sent from your school after the application process is underway, it depends upon how quick you were with that application.

When was the transcript sent? Was it before your Senior year started?
All they typically look at are those first six (6) semesters, which is through the end of your Junior year.

If USNA got last year's old transcript, ask your school to send the new one to USNA and notify your Admissions Counselor about it, after you confirm that the school sent it. If you application has already been through review (and not rejected) then the next time it gets reviewed will be with the new class rank.

Hope that helps.
