Things are so crazy right now and our nation 🇺🇸 our world 🌎 is under so much pressure with the uncertainty of what is going on today. So many families have been working so hard to reach their goal of gaining an appointment to a SA or a ROTC scholarship. The grind of all of this is lot for everyone. Couple that with TWE, BFE, DODMERB, home schooling, graduations, proms and the school year being disrupted and it’s hard to see the forest from the trees.

I have had to stop a few times lately and and count my blessings and remember that despite of the state of everything we are living in right now, I have so much to be thankful for.

If you are in this forum you have so much to be proud of, your DS/DD are the future leaders of this great nation. If they ever even thought of wanting to serve in uniform, they are special, they have gotten good grades, have a work ethic, they have played sports, been class leaders, and have people in their lives who thought enough of your DS/DD they were willing to write letters of Rec for them and a member of Congress was impressed with them enough to put their good name on their application to nominate them to our Commander in Chief to say “This is someone I believe in enough that I am willing to say I trust this future officer with the lives of my fellow Americans”.

To all the US Merchant Marine Academy, Naval Academy, West Point, Air Force Academy, USCGA, ROTC and OCS families despite the pressure you and your DS/DD are feeling right now, don’t forget no matter what happens in the next few weeks we have lots to be thankful for right now.

God Bless all of you and your families and God Bless the United States of America 🇺🇸
