For personal reasons I'm trying to take a semester of school, and subsequently AFRTOC, off. However, I'm currently under contract. Is it at all possible to take a semester off with adequate reason? I've read my 1056 contract and it doesn't seem to mention anything about it. I've brought this question up to my CoC (still waiting on a response). Just would like to know if anyone has encountered a similar problem. Thank you!

I have only encountered one mid who took a semester off, however it was for medical reasons. You did the best thing reaching out to your CoC and I hope your situation works out.

I understand why you might not say for personal reasons, but it is impossible to answer without a clear reason why you are requesting to take off.
I know someone who was denied a semester off after their father passed away suddenly. I am not sure if your reason is more or less of an extreme of this, but it could be something to compare to. I assume it also depends (possibly) on how close you are to graduating.
