I feel for his family and the Corps. It is hard to loose someone so young with such a great future in front of him. As the posts above show he was a great young man. I do have to ask:
He was a sophomore in a single driver vehicle. Are Sophomores allowed to have personal vehicles on base or even ride or drive in a vehicle without special permission?
Accident occurred at 0150 9/11/2016 in Westchester County, Croton on Hudson. No curfew after football game or did they get an overnight with no restrictions?
Croton on Hudson is a long way from Highland Falls New York (Not many ways to get across the Hudson from there, Tappan Zee or further on Bear Mountain).
Again it is a great loss.
Whatever the final determination, it is a horrible thing for the Corps and for his Family. We never expect to loose them so young. I don't think they can "borrow a car " from a firstie and drive home. I don't think there will be any criminal charges. That would be a real stretch for a single one driver.
I think you meant **EDITED**. Only asking questions and postulating what the rules might be. A great loss for his family and the Corps whatever the final determination.
The loss of a Cadet is a tragedy for all concerned and the why and how is the last thing we should think about. The loss of a life so young with so much of a future is all we should care about. God bless his family and the Corps.
