The Blueprint of WCS and it's Significance: The Rand Report

Sort of sad they did not do this for this year
My DS did have his interview with a WP grad who is now in the Reserves.
The interview went both ways: 1) what have you done to make you a stronger and better candidate than other candidates who want to go to WP ? [very direct and straight to the point], 2) This is why WP is better than other SAs & colleges and this is how WP will prepare you academically, mentally, physically to be an officer in the Army.

DD had an interview with "an old grad" whose actual title was admissions representative almost immediately after she applied to USMA. (She applied early this fall)

Who knows maybe we will be getting the TWE, because no one has contacted him. I do think the field rep here was a graduate of WP and he has met with DS several times so maybe that was it? I think he is fairly competitive but maybe he is not. Whatever happened I just want to go ahead and find out so we can enjoy the rest of senior year. The 4 year scholarship is pretty sweet.

No reason to conclude your DS is getting a TWE. And, folks should strap in for what could still be a long wait. Not fun. But, if followed by a BFE, it’ll be worth the wait.

I guess I am coming from the place of if there was to be an interview and he has not been asked to do this and the deadline for everything is Jan 31, how would he get in with out one ?

FFR may have treated meeting or meetings as an interview. If he is a competitive candidate with a NOM, he has a realistic chance.

I bet those meetings counted. Have him look on his portal. There should be a green check mark next to Interview.

Did he attend SLE? Some years they use the interview done with the SLE cadre instead of requiring any interviews with a FFR

No he was unable to go to SLE he was already registered for a Spanish immersion program through his school.
We looked at portal and there was no interview box
There was something saying in certain circumstances you may be contacted for an interview and the person listed was the man he interviewed with for the congressional nomination( he was in the board ) and he has met/ spoken with him several times through the process
All boxes than can be checked on application are green

His tasks have to be complete by then, but the Admissions people still have months to get through theirs, and interviewing is on their schedule.

Maybe try some meditation. Consider this koan: Waiting is...
