So, those who are still waiting to hear from USMA, how are you guys mannaging the waiting game? It might be a silly question, but I believe that some of us might need some good advice! It isn't easy, lol. Congrats to those who received their appointments already, hope to see y'all at R-Day!

Workout, go have fun with friends, spend time with family. Honestly as great as these boards are they can build the anxiety and stress of waiting. Back in the dark ages when we got a letter that said our application was complete and we would hear by April 15th we just rolled with it. Luckily we didn't have all the social media and platforms to fuel the anxiety. We never hear from current 4/C that they wish they spent more time on these boards, but nearly all of them will say go have fun, spend time doing things with friends and family, enjoy senior year or college.

The military is full of huge waits. Branch night, duty stations, command selections, schools, more duty stations. All of them have huge implications to a career and become harder as you have families who are now impacted in many cases. I always say this is part of the training of learning to wait, because it's only the first of dozens to come.

Continue to move forward with Plans B and C. Stay focused on school and stay out of trouble. This really is the most difficult period, however, remember when you were working hard to get to this point, you were busy. Make plans and goals and still continue to work.

Push Hard, Press Forward

Thank you both for the great advice! When I went to SLE the past year, the cadets told us things along the same margins; "stay out of trouble, but have FUN, stay busy, ENJOY SENIOR YEAR". I'm going to keep looking into my plans B&C. Hopefully I'll receive my long awaited appointment.

And remember that we still have not passed the date that West Point said most appointments would go out by. West Point said that most appointments will be tendered between 26 FEB and 1 May. You might find out very, very soon! :) Good luck, I know the waiting game is extremely brutal. Hope to see you on R-Day!
