Hello everyone,
I have been lurking on this forum for a long time, and a lot of the posed questions and answers have really helped me through the application process. I'd like to take this time to formally first make an account, and also introduce myself!
I am currently a senior in a mildly-competitive state, who has finished applications to USMA, USNA, USAFA, USCGA, and USMMA. Essentially, my ranked order of preference is also in the above order.
To USMA, I have received a nomination from my senator, along with my congressman (so far). My state does not double-nominate, so I suppose I am almost out of the running for the other SAs that require a nom. For USCGA, I was accepted via Early Action in the first round.
Statistics:
GPA: 3.5 UW, 3.9 W
Test Scores: ACT (Highest): English - 33, Math - 33, Reading - 33, Science - 30 (I do plan on retaking both the SAT and the ACT in the next couple weeks)
SAT - 1390/1600 (700 Math, 690 Reading)
Athletics: Double-Varsity in Tennis and Track

Again, this forum, along with all of the members in it, has provided me with an unbelievably experienced account of everything I need to know. I am extremely grateful for all the expertise, and I am excited for the future! Thank you.

Welcome! Good luck to you and congratulations on the two nominations.

Also, you might try asking your congressman to switch your nomination to another SA. My DS did this and his MOC was able to switch the nome from USMA to USNA.

You already have an ace in the hole. USCGA is a wonderful institution, and a springboard to a life of service.

Look harder into CGA... they want you.

Congratulations.

For the USMMA, a nomination from ANY member of congress within your state is acceptable. For example, you can contact any congressman from any district within your state and he could nominate you if his slate had an opening..
