My 17-year-old is almost done with her application, she only has her BioEssay left (the hardest thing for her is to talk about herself)
She has the nomination (Congressional)
Medical is Remedial (whatever that means)
SATs Math - 680, English 600
GPA - 4.1
LPO of her Sea Cadet unit for over 2 years, ranking up to Chief on 01/11 - in Color Guard and participates in MHD once a month plus other volunteer work.
On a robotics team - works on AutoCAD and on the mechanical team
A black belt candidate in Krav Maga (but she won't be able to black belt because they require Saturday classes and that would take away from either robotics and/or Sea Cadets, but she continues to train 2-3 times a week)
Tutors Pre-Algebra through Algebra II once a week.

She wants to study Marine Engineering

So HI :)

Hello. Congratulations on the nomination and good luck with the rest of the process. Let me know here or by pm if you have any KP general questions or female specific questions. My DD is KP class of '21.

Congrats. Same goes for me. DD is Class of 2020. Let me know if I can help.

So HI :)
My daughter currently is a sophomore happy Academy and I would think that everything you stated above sounds pretty strong. Best of luck to her. The academy is truly a hidden Hidden Gem. A wonderful place to be
