OK, I know this is a long way off, but I am a new 2026 USMA parent and not sure how the ticket allocation works for Cadets/Families. I'm trying to make plans for my wife and I as well as my oldest son and his soon to be wife to attend. Do Cadets gets some sort of allocation of tickets available to them to purchase for family? Or will I need to get them through other channels (i.e. Stubhub, etc..)? Also, how does it work for Plebes? Do they get any chance to spend any additional time in Philly either the day before, day of, or day after the game? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Join the Army/Navy ticket exchange on Facebook. Pretty sure you are allotted 4 tickets via your Cadet. The Ticket exchange is a good source for better seats though.

I always wait until the week prior and then pick up awesome tickets. Like, I will book my hotel early and then wait for other people to need to get rid of their tickets and sweep in and get a great seat.

Navy had an order process for Plebe parents that they discussed at I-day (or at least during the virtual one 24 had). I assume Army has something similar for their 4/C families?

@DrMom That sounds like a risky plan but I guess it works. Booking our flight and accommodations this weekend. We will make a full weekend of it and my older son will get to shows his new bride around his alma mater (UPenn). All of these WP events are getting expensive (R Day, A Day, Army vs Navy, PPE, etc...) :p

We just got our tickets and can’t wait. We have always been “Go Navy! Beat Army!” as I’m a Navy vet and my oldest is a USNA 2024 Mid. Now my youngest received and accepted his 2026 USMA Appointment, so I’ll now cheer for both.
Go NAVY, Go ARMY!!!…..(beat Army!😉)

No, she's right on the money. It sounds risky but it always works that way. Great deals and seats to be had. You have to weigh your tolerance for risk between the seats you really want and the availability. Toughest part is finding more than a few seats together last minute.

This is one thing you don’t have to worry about at all. It will be your mandatory duty to attend the home games and Army-Navy and any other event USMA determines you are required to have mandatory fun at. You’ll all sit together, having marched in together. You’ll also be standing quite a bit of the time or doing push-ups…

The cadets sit together in the cadet section for home games and for Army Navy. Google ‘ West Point tsunami.’ That will be you soon having an awesome time.

1. Do Cadets gets some sort of allocation of tickets available to them to purchase for family? Or will I need to get them through other channels (i.e. Stubhub, etc..)? 2. Do they get any chance to spend any additional time in Philly either the day before, day of, or day after the game?
1. Each cadet family can purchase up to 4 tickets. They are not available to purchase until mid-summer, much later than tickets are available to other groups. I set an alarm to wake up at 4:00AM PST so that I can buy tickets as soon as they went on sale last July 14th. All phone circuits were busy for almost an hour before I got through to Army Ticket Sales. I bought 2 tix, at ~$130 each. Seats are not assigned until about Thanksgiving. I was VERY disappointed with my seats, so I ended up buying another pair of tix from a reseller. The (cadet family) tix bought from Army Ticket Sales can not be re-sold via app, only transferred to another without selling. I gave away my original (cadet family) tickets.

2. My son (a plebe) was part of "Pipes and Drums", which plays the team onto the field at each half. During the 3rd quarter, we got to meet up for ~12 minutes or so. Enough time to buy him some treats, and join us at our seats for a few pictures. Although the time was short, it was well worth the experience. Cadets in good standing are authorized 2 passes during the fall semester. Most take them for Labor Day weekend and Thanksgiving. If I recall correctly, plebes were not eligible to take a "pass" for Army-Navy weekend. This year, we are going to aim for our cadet to take a "pass" for the weekend.

Tickets, usually not a problem.
Lodging and flights, get well ahead of time.
True, lodging close to stadium, typically sells out many months before the game. I make my reservations for the next year when I return from the game.

We usually stay in Centre City, walkable to Reading Terminal Market, the pep rally venue on Friday, and whatever restaurant we are indulging in a late dinner at post-game, and take the game day trains from downtown to and from the game (SEPTA Broad Street Line). It’s a festive atmosphere on the trains. Hotels do book up quickly.

This is the official gameday website when the game is in its usual Philly location. It will populate with all kinds of related events. It’s always fun if they add in a Friday night A-N boxing smoker! “There will be blood.”

Piggybacking on this thread. My USNA 2C just received the email for tickets and he is asking mom and dad if they want to go. As a West Coaster, I am very unfamiliar with the East Coast. So:

1. What airport do I fly into for this game?
**Nevermind. Looks like philadelphia international.

2. Is a rental car a must?

3. How many nights should we stay?

4. I'm reading that Center City is the way to go for a hotel.

5. Are the seats that are purchased through the mids in any particular section?

6. Are there any "can't miss" things to do?

This will be our last game before our mid commissions so we want to make sure we do it as right as possible.

I'm sure there will be a lot more questions.
