Time for data DoDMERB --> USNA?

DS is a college re-applicant, and so is still medically qualified from last year (and is listed as "Qualified" on the DodMERB web site for USNA). He has received a LOA with "Required Actions: Medical Qualification." DS believes info is just delayed in transit because he had some prior data issues. But it's been over 3 weeks since he thought it all was fixed up. How long is reasonable to wait before contacting someone again? (Guessing things are really busy right now.) Also LOA says: "Aside from any Medical required actions, you must complete the marked requirements by February 20 of 2019..." Since this is a Medical required action, is there no specific deadline for this? Any insights (or calming thoughts! LOL) appreciated.

If the DoDMETS.com site says he's "qualified", then it is indeed just a case of data catching up with USNA.
I guess if he is concerned, he could contact his Admissions Counselor or call Admissions directly.

Our DS was a college re-applicant and he received an LOA contingent on the same thing as you have listed (he is c/o 2020). It took just under a month and everything caught up. Hopefully for you too. We didn't call but you certainly can. Good luck and congrats on the LOA.

Personally, I would shoot a short email to his admissions person. Feb 20th isn’t too far away, the wording in the letter isn’t clear regarding his situation as he is already medically qualified, and you have waited 3 weeks.

I’m with @THParent though and suspect it’s a catch-up issue.

Okay, so I *finally* convinced DS to send an email about this (after a month of waiting), and lo' and behold there was a form he needed to fill out (remedial medical) to indicate there had been no major medical changes since last year. A new status for USNA for 2018 cycle appeared on DoDMerb with the status "Remedial Requested." DS sent in the form the same day he got it, and DoDMerb acknowledged receipt of same via email. That was over 2 weeks ago. But there has been no change in DoDMerb status. Any one have any insight on how long it is reasonable to wait before inquiry? (I know military is "Hurry up, and wait." but it is seeming to me that DS needs to be pro-active in getting his wrinkles handled?)

I just thought I would mention a few things about WAITING, based on what I have seen as a new user on the forum. This is a list of my opinions and observations, and I am trying my best to inject a little dry humor as I go. Unless you're an astronaut, you're not getting off this planet alive, so you should have fun and laugh about as many things as you can whilst you're here.

4. DoDMERB manages a LOT of data on a LOT of people. Just be patient and wait. I know you answered that remedial question with the allergy form you downloaded, filled out, scanned, and emailed back within 6 minutes, but it may take a week before you hear from them. When you see an update, you may only see that they acknowledged receiving it. Look, it's months until January. Be patient. They really do know what they're doing. Go outside and enjoy the fresh air. You're going to stroke out. Do something relaxing that decreases your blood pressure.

And, just for the record, it took us like a whole half hour to return the form and it's been OVER *2* weeks... LOL. Just sayin'
