Timeline from LOA to appointment

I received an LOA a few weeks back and only had to finish up my DoDMERB process. Today, my status changed to qualified and now on the USNA portal it shows that there are no required actions anymore. I was wondering the typical time a candidate will receive notification of an appointment after completing the required actions for an LOA. I am sure these numbers will vary but any insight will be helpful. Thank you!

Couple days to a couple weeks. It can vary from candidate to candidate. If the government shuts down again, could be slower.

DS was in similar position. Once portal changed to No conditions it was about a week before offer of appointment arrived in portal.

The good thing is that there's no hoping anymore. It's a sure thing. It will show up soon.

If you want something to do in the meantime, you can start getting ready for the first 3 things they'll ask you for;
1. (Police Record Check) Check into what you need to do at the local or state level police office for a Police Record Check. USNA will give you a one-page form.
2. (USNA Body Alteration Form) A four-page questionnaire on tattoos and body art, to fill out and send to USNA.
3. (Proof of Citizenship) get an original or certified copy of your birth certificate to mail to USNA. They will send this back to you.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may find that the police records check request is different for you.
There is often fingerprinting involved in this process, so you have to have an appointment.
Might as well call now and get the lowdown on the process. It will give you something to do, anyway.
