Did anyone else get the email starting that there will be no rolling admissions this session and that everyone will be placed on the national wait list? What exactly does that mean?

It is a 3Q letter meaning you have been deemed academically, physically, and medically qualified.

The letter can mean one of two things.
#1 your file is qualified, you are on a competitive slate, and that slate will get resolved when the application period closes next week. If you are the highest ranked candidate on your slate then you will be offered an appointment.
#2 your file is qualified but for some reason you did not win your slate and you are placed on the NWL to compete in the National pool.

DS got exact same letter and was then appointed Feb 14. Confusing language re: NWL.

Other side to this question, I received a letter saying I was physically and academically qualified about a month ago, and became medically qualified (received waiver) last week. My file is complete. However, I've not received any email or letter about being 3Q'd or being on NWL. I was a P-nominee, so could the lack of communication be because I've already "won" my slate, and now my file just has to go before the board? Thanks.

That is certainly possible. Posts to this forum indicate that not every RC posts 3Q letters to candidate portals. Also, our RC emailed our DS that our MOCs do not pick a principal nominee in this region, rather WP alone ranks the nominations.

@wp0524 I would suggest that you email your RC and politely ask the status. It is a crazy time there and I am sure they want to get it done as much as you want to receive it.

USMA 1994, UGH. I hope it's the first one, hehe. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your insight.

As it turns out, it was verified to be a 3Q letter. Thanks everyone for your help!!

My DD got that email too. Wouldn't believe the hoops she had to jump through to get medically qualified based on her height/weight. She is only 5'2" but as fit as any cadet. Was actually told while at SLE when she passed her CFE with flying colors that her butt was just too muscular and had to trim it down to make tape. And she did!!! Hope all that working her butt off (literally) helps get her that appointment!
