I’m buying new spikes for track(distance) right now but I was wondering if they’re allowed at USAFA? If so, what color do I need and would I be using them often?

I don’t see them being disallowed, but you will have no use for them unless you will be doing workouts on the track by yourself and want spikes for those workouts.

Do not expect to wear them during a fitness test.

Last year's instructions to appointees were:

You are also encouraged to bring molded cleats with you to the Academy. Many intramural activities are played outdoors and the use of molded cleats will allow you to maintain your footing. Only molded cleats are authorized. Do not bring screw-in, metal, or single toe cleats as they pose safety hazards to other participants.

So, you probably will not or cannot use them until after BCT.

To answer the other half of your question, they can be whatever color you want, including neon.

Any chance you are recruited for the Track Team? My DS was told all equipment like (Spikes ect) was provided and they can only wear "Nike" brand

Stay with conservative, non-neon colors. I would recommend not bringing to I-Day unless track spikes are specifically included on the Class of 2022 packing list. Check with squadron staff the spikes after A-Day. If they are allowed, have your parents ship them to you (or bring them if they attend PW).

Although, the brighter the color, the easier for parents to pick you out in WebGuy photos. :D
