Transfer Timeline

My son was awarded an NROTC scholarship, which was placed at Georgia Tech. He was admitted to GT, but has decided to attend ND. He submitted the official transfer request form last week and also emailed the recruiting officer with the Unit. What is the standard timeline for notification that the transfer was approved?

Has he spoken with the ND NROTC folks? They have a strong team there and can help make sure the transfer request doesn't get lost. Especially with the NSI assignments right around the corner.
 
He hasn't heard back yet from the LT. My older son is also with the ND Unit. Would it be inappropriate for him to speak with the LT as well?

I don't think it would be in appropriate at all. He should just let the LT know his younger brother is trying to transfer to ND and wants to know if there is anything he can do to speed up the process.

Of course, this assumes the brothers get along. If it were my older brother, he'd be telling the LT I am helpless and that he has to do everything for me. But, I hope that's just my crazy family :D
