I've been shooting Trap and Skeet (and Sporting Clays) competitively for several years and this year my team and I have qualified to compete in the State meet. I've looked at the USCGA web-site and haven't seen anything in this area. Would it be a good idea to contact the rifle and/or pistol coach and ask about Trap and Skeet? I'm definitely interested in participating in those if Trap and Skeet are not available (although they are not even close in terms of a skill set). I don't want to do it too early (I'm a Junior)and annoy anyone, but I want to show my interest too. Any advice is welcome.

I know they have a college pistol and rifle team and also a combat arms team (one of our Firsties from the Great Lakes is on it this year.

There wasn't a trap and skeet program while I was there. Great thing about CGA? You have the ability to start many things that don't exist. Maybe you could be the "Father of the Modern Trap and Skeet Team". We could erect a monument on day!

Thanks for your confidence...I'm not sure that a monument is in order though!:shake: Thanks for the info and the responses! I, of course, have not even applied yet, but am committed to doing so (I have applied to attend AIM). Do you think it is a plus that I'm involved in this sport?...even though the CGA doesn't have a team? (It certainly can't hurt...right?) I'm also in Track and am not bad, but I've been most involved in this as far as sports/athletics go.
