Travel during Winter Break

Can plebes travel outside of country over winter break? My family takes annual trip to Jamaica, and we are starting to price trips.

Yes, but make sure you leave yourself room at the beginning and end of your break so that you definitely have permission to leave and you return on time (early). Don't be that plebe that misses your return time after break. It is generally 1800 for plebes.

So, do you have to ask permission if the trip falls within the break time (12/22-12/28)?

Sure, but they are right about buffer time winter 95-96 had many not returning back from across the US on time.

The biggest thing about coming back from winter break is being in the real word after the first 6 months. For some, the next three months can be some of the most depressing times after they return to the academy.

Vortexkp99--spot on. That, and every time there was any leave, or liberty for plebes, coming back and have privileges taken away always resulted in a pissed off plebe (or any year really) in my family
